Boston Shopping

For people who travel to Boston, there is no shortage of shopping options. Whether they are looking for souvenirs or clothing, jewelry or other unusual gifts, Boston can provide a wonderful shopping experience. Some of the most popular spots for shoppers in Boston are given below.

Boston’s most famous shopping district is in Back Bay, which is full of high-end retail outlets. In Back Bay, tourists can shop at the Prudential Center, which hosts a shopping mall known as The Shops at Prudential Center. This mall is home to many upscale stores, such as Saks Fifth Avenue. Shoppers can also find fashions at Club Monaco and Lacoste, in addition to shoes, fragrances, watches, and eyeglasses. At Copley Place Mall in Back Bay, shoppers can find designer stores, such as Ralph Lauren, Christian Dior, and Tiffany & Co. There are more than seventy-five stores in this shopping center, so tourists are sure to find what they are looking for. This shopping mall is also close to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority line, so shoppers from out of town can easily get to this location. Copley Place is open from 10:00am to 8:00pm Monday through Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00pm to 6:00pm.

Also in the Back Bay area is Newbury Street, known for its array of shops. These shops include fashion stores for men, women, and children, secondhand stores, sporting goods stores, camera shops, music stores, perfume shops, craft shops, antique shops, and many others. The area is a mix of well-known and chain stores, like Marshalls and Barney’s New York, and independent shops. It is possible for tourists to spend an entire day exploring the wide range of retailers on this vibrant street alone.

Downtown Crossing is another popular shopping district. It is located in a historic area where Washington, Winter, and Summer streets intersect. Visitors to this area can find books, clothing, jewelry, accessories, shoes, and music. There are a number of street vendors and pushcart merchants selling a number of different goods. At this site shoppers can also find many specialty stores selling art, handmade products, pens, and fabrics.
